Helping Seneca County residents make informed choices about their health behaviors is the overall purpose of health education.
Health information and education is provided to the community in a number of ways, from one-to-one counseling, to group workshops, presentations and conferences. Our Health Educators are responsible for creating health information and for disseminating accurate and timely information to the public.
Our health education staff uses print materials such as the department’s quarterly newsletter, fact sheets, brochures and social media to communicate health information and resources to our residents and community partners.
Presentations are available by request on a variety of topics and can be adapted to best meet the needs of your youth group, workplace, community group or individual needs.
Topics include, but are not limited to:
These are just some of the examples of the various topics that our Health Education staff frequently provide to support the nursing and environmental divisions in promoting their programs, services and events.
